❝ Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky. We fell them down and turn them into paper that we may record our emptiness. ❞

Book #3: But is it Art?

by Cynthia Freeland

There isn’t much to review here. Freeland’s philosophy book is simple and sweet - a great introduction to the state of modern aesthetics and where to go for more detail. Her examples are spot on, she does a great job exposing the reader to a variety of artworks, and achieves the overall purpose of the book quite well.

In short: I read it for a class, but would’ve enjoyed it otherwise.
